Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the sale of any Masterclass. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing a Masterclass and print off a copy for your records.
For purchases via our website, by clicking on the “Accept” button you agree to the terms of this agreement which will bind you.
A description of the Masterclass together with the dates on which the Masterclass will begin are available on our Website. We will provide the Masterclass with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the description set out on the Website.
We reserve the right to vary or withdraw any of the Masterclass described on the Website without notice.
Booking your Masterclass
You can place an order for a Masterclass via the Website, or telephone, or via a purchase order. Although to secure your space as soon as they are advertised, then an order via the website would be preferable. DTA Ecology reserves the right to cancel or decline your order or any part of your order at any time until it has been confirmed.
A legally binding agreement between us and you shall come into existence when we have:
- accepted your offer to purchase Masterclass from us by sending you an email confirming the purchase; and
- received payment of the relevant Fees from you via debit or credit card.
Where your order consists of multiple Online Courses, each individual course will be treated by us as a separate offer to purchase. Acceptance of your offer to buy one or more courses will not be acceptance by us of your offer to purchase any other courses which make up your order.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our refund policy for Masterclasses delivered are as follows:
- A full refund is available for a cancellation which is made more than 1 month before the course date.
- A delegate is able to transfer to a later course if a cancellation is made up to 7 days before the course date.
- For cancellation within 7 days a transfer to a later course is only available if we are able to secure a booking through late availability advertising or an active waiting list.
Each delegate is responsible for ensuring that they have the correct IT equipment and internet connection in place. DTA Ecology cannot be held responsible if the delegate cannot attend the course due to their own technical issues. It is recommended that the band width for joining a Team call is 1.2 Mbps for peer to peer calling, video and screen sharing.
If for any reason the internet drops or there is a power failure by DTA Ecology, then every effort will be made to re-join the connection. If this is for a long period of time and the Masterclass cannot continue then you will be entitled to a refund or be offered an alternative date for the course.
Fees for the Service selected by you on the Website or purchased over the telephone shall be debited from your credit / debit card at the time of purchase. Fees must be paid in full prior to you attending Online Course.
Any fees charged by your debit or credit card provider in connection with your purchase of Masterclass are for your own account and DTA Ecology shall not be responsible for these.
All Intellectual Property Rights in the Course Materials, Online Courses and the speeches made by trainers are, and remain, the intellectual property of DTA Ecology, whether adapted, written for or customised for the Client or not. You are not authorised to:-
- copy, modify, reproduce, re-publish, sub-licence, sell, upload, broadcast, post, transmit or distribute any of the Course Materials without prior written permission;
- record on video or audio tape, relay by videophone or other means the Online Course given
- use the Course Materials in the provision of any other course.
Each party shall keep the other party’s Confidential Information strictly confidential and not use it otherwise than for the purposes of these terms and conditions, and shall return it on demand and not retain copies of it.
When you register with us you will need to provide certain Data such as your contact details and demographic information. We will store this Data and use it to contact you, provide you with details of the Masterclass you have purchased and otherwise as required during the normal provision of the course. Your Data will not be used for any other purpose.
Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is subject to English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in connection with any dispute hereunder.

Dr Caroline Chapman is delighted to have been elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
